    Wanting to get married

I have reached my forties and am not married, and I praise Allaah for everything that He has decreed for me. At first I felt sad and upset whenever I was alone, and I regretted my misfortune every time one of my friends got married. I did not have any conditions or specific characteristics in the man I wanted to marry; I was prepared to accept any righteous man. But years went by without this man coming to me. I began to withdraw from people so that I would not see their looks of pity but I could not escape them completely, because I would see them in the eyes of my parents and siblings who would pray for me every time they saw me. One day at the end of Sha’baan, as we were preparing for the blessed month of Ramadaan, Allaah guided me to keep a Mus-haf just for myself. I decided to read the whole Qur’aan and I found it very difficult to read it because I had stopped reading for the last ten years. I also found it difficult to understand some verses, so I bought a book of Tafseer (commentary) and I started to read it so that I could understand the verses of Qur'aan that I was reading. Ramadaan ended but my attachment to the Book of Allaah did not stop; I carried on reading the verses of Allaah and reading the commentary thereon.

“Then came the day when I read the verse in Soorat al-Kahf (interpretation of the meaning): Wealth and children are the adornment of the life of this world. But the good righteous deeds that last, are better with your Lord for rewards and better in respect of hope [al-Kahf 18:46].  I wondered, what does the good righteous deeds that last’ mean? I found in the Tafseer that it refers to all righteous deeds.

“I fell in love with righteous deeds such as prayer, fasting, charity, tasbeeh, tahmeed, tahleel and takbeer. Happiness began to fill my heart and I became content. I praised Allaah greatly for guiding me to this path and teaching me these things.”

    Sister Umm Yamaan adds:

“But this is not a call for monasticism, rather it is a call to accept the will and decree of Allaah.”

    Friendship

    Friendship

    The meaning of friend :

a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.

a person who is on good terms with another; a person who is not hostile: Who goes there? Friend or foe?

a member of the same nation, party, etc.

(initial capital letterhttp://cache.lexico.com/dictionary/graphics/luna/thinsp.png) a member of the Religious Society of Friends; a Quaker.

People think to become friends or to stay good friends you have to do the similar, or believe in the similar things that I mentioned above.

For me friendship is not about how many times you see them or doing the same things, and even if did have similar interest or did the same things it wouldnt mean that I will be friends with them for life.

For me friendship comes from Allah, without him do you think your friendship will last forever, Why is it brotherhood so strong in Islam and not in other religions, nations or societies. Its because it is Allah who bonds us together and puts that love in our hearts.

Yet, there are some Muslims in this world who don’t believe in the brotherhood or friendship at all. They say you can’t have friends because they will always betray you or might leave you, this is only because they base their friendship on culture or something else instead of Allah. Some think the only friendship you can get is your family, which I think is totally wrong, because why is it we hear people saying ‘Oh!! my daughter/son left home’ or ‘My child doesn’t speak to me no more’

Abu Bakr and the prophet (saw) were friends before Islam, but what really made them bond was Islam

The message of Islam made the people of Mecca very angry. The idols were their gods. The holy prophet openly mocked at these gods. He declared they could do neither any good nor harm. Among the chiefs of Mecca was one Abu Jahl. He became the greatest enemy of the holy prophet. He was always on the lookout to hurt him or even kill him, if he could. Abu bakr kept an eye on this man, least he should do a grave harm to Islam. One day the holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) was saying his prayers in the kabah. He was totally lost in the thoughts of Allah. Abu Jahl and some other chiefs of Mecca were sitting in the courtyard of the kabah. ‘I must finish of Muhammad today.’ Said Abu Jahl. So he took a long piece of cloth. He put it around the holy prophet’s neck. Then he twisted it hard. He was going to strangle the messenger of Allah to death. The other chiefs looked and laughed.

Abu bakr happened to see this from the distance. He at once ran to the help of the Prophet. He pushed Abu Jahl aside and took of the cloth off around the prophet’s neck. Thereupon Abu Jahl and the other enemies of Islam came down on Abu Bakr .  They beat him very much. Indeed, so severe that Abu Bakr fell to the ground senseless. He was carried home. He could not regain his senses till several hours. when Abu Bakr (r.a) did come to himself, the first question he asked was, ‘is the prophet un-hurt? Abu bakr didn’t care for his own suffering. He was glad that he could save the prophets life. Abu Bakr knew full well that if any harm came to the prophet, the only hope to mankind would be gone. This made him risk everything he held dear for.

From this we can see that the bond he had with the Prophet was so strong because of Allah, and we knew whatever the Prophet used to say wasn’t from his own desire but from Allah. So our beloved Prophet said “whatever you love for yourself, love for your brother”

For example if a close friend of mine saw me being disrespectful towards my parents, I personally would expect her to say something, not just sit there saying nothing. I mean how could you sit there and ignore that your friend is doing something wrong and not say anything. Would you watch your friend get stabbed and not do anything? So how about the hellfire??? So how could you expect to have a good relationship or a close friendship with your friend when you put Allah second, therefore you should expect your friendship to fall apart.

All the companions used advise each other and weren’t afraid of it, they just wanted the best for their friend and that was jannah.

The prophet (saw) also said we should always find excuses for our brothers, meaning that we shouldn’t jump to conclusion. Like, if we haven’t heard from our friend for a long time we should start thinking ‘she/ he can’t be bothered’ or if they don’t come out ‘they rather stay at home than spend time with me’. Rather these are the whispering of the shaytaan instead we should say ‘may be something has happen’ or ‘they may have a problem at home’.

As Long as we base our friendship on Allah we will never go wrong as we have all the solution, and when you start thinking this way, you realize your friendship is a blessing from Allah and so you start thanking him every day for giving you a friend who helps you with your deen, your life and your closeness to Allah tala.

Your friends make you who you are, so choose wisely

    Be paitent

    Al-Ghazali said, "If you see Allah, Mighty and Magnificent, holding back this world from you, frequently trying you with adversity and tribulation, know that you hold a great status with Him. Know that He is dealing with you as He does with His Awliya' and chosen elite, and is watching over you, have you not heard His saying, "So wait steadfastly for the judgment of your Lord - you are certainly before Our eyes. {At-Tur 52:48}

    Climbing the Mountain

I look ahead and I know you are up those mountains

But which one only you can guide me

You show me the way, and so I start climbing

So far my journey seems to be easy

I’m half way up the mountain

Finding it hard to find my step

So you send down someone to help me

I know the climb is worth my life,

Because you were the one I’ve been longing for

And when I reach the top

    I break down into tears

    Knowing my life is complete

    Seeing your face

    My Rabb

Truth Vs Falsehood, which one do you follow????

    Life on Earth
“Read, In the Name of your Lord who Created,
Created man from clots of blood.
Read, and your Lord is Most Generous, he who taught by the pen, taught men what he did not know.
No Indeed! Truly man is ungrateful, seeing himself as self sufficient.
Truly it is to your Lord that you will return”
    (Quran 96:1-8)

This is the first verse was  revealed to Muhammad (pbuh). Here God draws our attention to the clot of blood, that we were once inside our mother’s womb and who has given us intellect when we entered this big world. However some people wish to ignore the truth about life and the hereafter, and would rather follow falsehood because they feel is to much of a burden to carry. God says to us in the Quran:

Those who disbelieve say ‘the hour will not come’Say ‘yes by my Lord it will certainly will come’ He is the knower of the unseen, whom not even the weight of the smallest particle eluders either in the heavens or in the earth, nor is there anything smaller or larger than that which is not in a clear book. This is so that he may recompense those who have faith and do right action. They will have forgiveness and generous provision. But those who strive against our signs, trying to nullify them, will have a punishment of agonising pain. (Quran 34:3-5)

Therefore we should arrive to the truth about life, God, and our existence and should not be afraid of change,  as so many people feel so secure in their  lives that they don't want to change as they THINK it will mess up their lives. However we must face reality and be true to our self and our soul. And use the intellect that God has blessed us with. Don't we all deserve to hear the truth.

     Islam and Christianity

After the creation of Adam (pbuh), just one original message has been repeatedly delivered to mankind throughout the history of humanity. Thus, to remind people about it and bringing them back on track, many prophets and messengers including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (pbut) were sent by God  to convey this message.
‘The true God is only ONE worship him alone and keep his commandments’

That’s all they said regardless who they came to, what language they spoke, and what time they came. That’s all they said. None of them said ‘I AM GOD WORSHIP ME’ not even Jesus (pbuh) said this in his OWN words not even in the bible.
Jesus (pbuh) bowed down and worship God himself as we are told in the bible it self:
"Going a little further, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed....(From the NIV Bible, Matthew 16:39)"

If we go back to Abraham we can see that he only worshipped one God and never associated partners with God.

‘Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian. But a man of pure belief—a *Muslim. He never joined other partners with God.’ (Quran 3:67)

‘..Or were you present when death came to Jacob and he said to his sons, ‘what will you worship when I have gone?’ they said ‘we will worship your God, the God of your forefathers, Abraham, Isma’il and Isaac - One God we are Muslims submitted to Him’. (Quran 2:133)

Also god has told us in the Quran Adam (pbuh) was born without a mother and father just as similar as  Jesus who was born without a father. If God wanted his servant to become pregnant  all he needs to say is ’be’ and it is. Just like Zechariah’s wife when she got pregnant at a very old age.

‘He said, ‘My Lord, how can I possibly have a son when I have reached old age and my wife is barren?’ He said, ‘it will be so.  God does whatever he wills.’ (Quran 3:40)

Jesus’ creation is a miracle in itself, but it is not the only of its kind. Jesus (pbuh) was created from only female, without a biological father. Adam, the ancestor of all mankind, was created from neither male or female by the sheer command of God. Eve, Adam's wife, was created from only the male, without biological mother. With the rest of the humans originating from both a male and a female through normal procreation, we thus have four distinct types of creation.

‘The likeness of Jesus is the likeness of Adam, he created him from dust and he was.’ (Quran 3:59)

Muslim believe that Jesus (pbuh) was no more than a prophet and was just sent to the people of Israel and not for the world. Before he was raised up to God he told his people that a man will come after him named the ‘praised one’ (Muhammad) who will follow the same words that Jesus (pbuh) conveyed and that he will not speak of his own  desires but confirm about him (Jesus) and so we find in the Quran there is a whole chapter devoted to Mary, the mother of Jesus telling us the miraculous birth of Jesus (pbuh) and his life. This is how we Muslim know about the life of Jesus (pbuh) and his blessed mother through Muhammad (pbuh). How did Muhammad (pbuh) know about Jesus, when he never spoke to him, but  was surrounded by pagans at his time.

Muslim don't worship Jesus nor Muhammad (pbut), but we say Jesus is a great prophet, and mention a comforter will come after him, and  bring down a book that will stay the same without a changing of a dot. Also it will stay with the world forever. In Islam we are told by God that he is ONLY one without any partners:

‘Say ‘He is God, absolute Oneness, God, the Everlasting Sustainer of all. He has not given birth and was not born. And no one is comparable to Him.’ (Quran 112)

So Muslim should never join anything with him, not even the prophets, because if man does join things with God they break that connection with him therefore goes in to utter falsehood and into darkness.

‘Those who say that God is the third of three are rejecters There is no God but One Gods. If they do not stop saying what they say,  agonizing chastisement will afflict those among them who are rejecters.’ (Quran 5:73)

This is were man keeps going astray by adding false gods to the One True God, this has been done many times in the past generation. When Moses brought down the 10 commandments not to join idols with God but some of his people did and made a calf.  Abraham told his father to stop worshipping idols as they cant harm or benefit anyone and because of Abraham rejection they threw him in the fire. And when Noah was sent to his people to worship One God and not the idols, they mocked and laughed at him And went astray.

    Life after Death

God has told us in the Quran that this life is like a flower that grows in the ground, it gets watered from the rain, and then it blossoms, it has a nice fragrance and looks beautiful. But then it only last for a month or less, and then Suddenly it starts to wither away and you have no more attention towards it as if it never existed before, and becomes soil and dirt again.

‘Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky and threads it through the earth to emerge as springs and then by it brings forth crops of varying colours, which then wither and you see them turning yellow and then He makes it dry up and crumble away. There is a reminder in that people of intelligence.’ (Quran 39:21)

Yet in this world we see people are being deceived by all the fortune in this world. Racing each other to money, status and possessions. Nevertheless death is on our doorstep, we don't even realise it. We will all have to leave this world if we accept it or not , and we cant expect that this is the end, because That would mean everything we have done in this world was meaningless. Everything we have done, the working day and night, raising a family, getting an education was for nothing. Every cause has an effect. However there are some people who don't believe in the hereafter and regard life on earth as the only life and nothing destroys them except time. God tell us in the Quran:

‘They say: There is nothing but our present life, we die, and we live, and nothing but time destroys us. Of that they have no knowledge, they merely conjecture. And when our revelations are recited to them, their only argument is that they say: Bring our forefathers, if you speak truly’ (Quran 45:24)

But God has told us that every soul will be given full reward of what they did on this earth, whether if you have followed the Truth or rejected it. So you will either go to heaven or hell. ‘every soul will die, and you will only be given your (full) reward on the day of judgment. So he who is drawn away from hellfire and admitted to paradise is the one who has succeeded.’ (Quran 3:185)

This life you have been given is a responsibility and therefore you will be ask what you did with gift in this world. So we should really sincerely think about life and decided where we want to end up in. A person who believes in the hereafter would look upon all worldly gains and loses as temporary and would not put at stake eternal bliss for a transitory gain. Belief in the next world instills in one the desire to do well and avoid the wrong, however costly it may be in terms of worldly sacrifice

*Muslim - someone who submits to One God. (pbuh) = Peace be upon him

Being Honest 'A GIFT from ALLAH'

Narrated Hudhaifa: Allah's Apostle said to us, "honesty descended from the Heavens and settled in the roots of the hearts of men (faithful believers), and then the Quran was revealed and the people read the Quran, (and learnt it from it) and also learnt it from the Sunna." Both Quran and Sunna strengthened their (the faithful believers') honesty.

The story of Thatlabah (ra). The Mercy of Allah regards to Foriveness

This is another story of a companion of the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). A young boy, at the age about 16 or 17, his name was Thatlabah (ra). Thatlabah (ra) was one of the active youth in the time of the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam), who obeyed the messenger (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) and his heart was firm in the belief of the Quran and he was completely convinced in the existence of Allah and he anticipated and sacrifice everything to reach Jannah.

The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) once sent Thatlabah on a errand (meaning he sent him to do something) and Thatlabah went, it would have only have taken him half a day to complete this errand, when on his way Thatlabah was going back to the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam). When he reached close to medina he was passing by a small village which was build of small tents, and then he heard one of the tents, as though there was water was being spilled inside, like a shower, as though there was someone was bathing inside it. Thatlabah did not have the right to open the tent and looked who was inside it, however his lust, hormones played up a bit at that time, and the shaytan deluded him into opening a tiny crack in that tent. And he looked in side and accidentally to his shock, saw a naked women bathing. As his temptation, lust and hormones began to rise he remembered Allah subhana wata alla. And then he closed the tent and he yelled so loud that he said ‘What have a done! La illah illallah. Allah will now send a verse to the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) saying I am one of the hypocrites. How could I worship Allah and then look at a naked woman in her tent. How can I say I am a mumin. Allah will surely say I am one of the hypocrites, yes he will, yes he will.’ And he forgot all about  returning to the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) he was to scared, he did not want to hear anything, almost certain that there was a verse sent down in the name of Thatlabah he is a munafiq (hypocrite). So instead of going to the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) he run away and he headed towards the cliffs and he stayed up there.

When he didn’t returned back to the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) began to get worried and he said ‘Where is Thatlabah? I hope nothing has happen to him’. The next day came and Thatlabah hadn’t returned so the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) sent his companions to look for him, and then they went and they tried and returned and said ‘O messenger of Allah we don’t know where he his.’ And they kept the search going for about a week. Until finally the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) sent Abu Bakr and Umar (ra) for a special task to look for him and find him. He said ‘go and look out to the outcast of medina, in the cliffs and the hills, in the forest and the trees, search every tent, ask anyone you see and search for Thatlabah. For I am very worried about Thatlabah.’ And so they went out and it took them weeks to search for him, then finally they approach this village were they found this Shepard with his goats and they approached him and said ‘Have you seen a young man? His descriptions are so and so, he is of this height and his name is Thatlabah’. The Shepard replied back ‘are you talking about the crying boy?’  They replied ‘what crying boy?’ so the Shepard replied back saying ‘there is a young boy who sits up in those cliffs over there, our village hears him every night crying and we don’t know what his matter is. Everyday he comes down and he drinks a bit of milk from my goats and then he would drag him self back to the mountains.’ Abu Bakr and Umar to their sadness replied ‘Surely this is Thatlabah’. So Abu Bakr and Umar (ra) went up to the mountains and they searched for him until they found him, sheltered away under leaves, his clothes were torned apart, he was withered away and so skinny, there was a disease in his skin and he was extremely sick. Abu Bakr and Umar (ra) thought he was dying and so then they crabbed him. As soon as Thatlabah saw them, as if the Angel of Death came to him. He tried to struggle and run away but the chased him and caught him, and they crabbed him. Thatlabah replied in fright ‘Please! Please! Don’t take me to the prophet (saw), don’t take me to him, don’t take me to him I’m too scared.’ They press down on Thatlabah, and said to him ‘What’s wrong with you! Take hold of your self Ya Thatlabah.’ He replied in fear ‘Please don’t take me to him, I know why you are taking me to him, Allah has sent down a verse concerning me hasn’t he! Hasn’t he!’ they replied calmly ‘We don’t know why the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) is asking for you, Please come with us. Wallahi we have to take you with us it’s a commandment of the prophet.’  And so they dragged him on his feet towards the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam).

They placed Thatlabah at his house and told the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) that he was at his home. The prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) came to him and he kneeled down and kissed him gently on his forehead and he kindly said to him ‘Ya Thatlabah What is wrong?’ And Thatlabah anxiously replied ‘Oh messenger of Allah are you hiding it from me?’ the messenger said ‘what I’m I hiding from you?’ Thatlabah said ‘Allah has sent down a verse concerning me that I am one of the hypocrites, hasn’t he?’ the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) looked at him and his tears where running down his cheeks, so he said to him ‘No, Ya Thatlabah Allah hasn’t sent anything in your cause’.  In worried Thatlabah replied ‘I am going to be punished, Oh messenger of Allah’ the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said to him ‘Ya Thatlaba, What are you fearing? In tears Thatlabah said ‘I fear that Allah is going to place me in the lowest place of hell-fire, I did a great sin, O messenger of Allah.’ Then the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said to him ‘Are you fearing the anger of Allah?' He replied ‘Yes!’ the prophet carried on to say ‘a mumin also has another belief and that is hope. What do you hope for Thatlabah? What do you wish for? What do you yearn for?’ Thatlabah in hopefulness said ‘I hope for the mercy of Allah and for his forgiveness.’ And then the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said ‘then ask Allah for that you are hoping for, and make your exemption about Allah Good! You will find it.’ The prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) read on his head and made a dua for him. Then all of a sudden Thatlabah said ‘Oh messenger of Allah, I feel as though there are thousand of ants crawling on my body’ the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) replied ‘can you really feel that Thatlabah’ he said ‘Yes! Oh messenger of Allah and I’m about to go unconscious’ swiftly the prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said ‘it is death!it is come and now your dying Thatlabah, so say La illah illallah Muhammadiw Rasullah’ and then Thatlabah began to repeat those words, when finally his soul escaped his body.

He was forgiven, but because he used the hope he had with Allah and he desired paradise so Allah forgave him.

The Mercy of Allah in regard to forgiveness

The Mercy of Allah in Regard to Forgiveness

"O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."

In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah gives hope to mankind more than any other narration. It displays the quality and attribute of Allahs mercy. Indeed, He is ar-Rahman, the Most Compassionate, and ar-Raheem, the Most Merciful. In this Hadithi Qudsi, Allah tells man of the greatness of His forgiveness and mercy so that no one would despair due to the amount of sins he may have committed. This is supported by the following verse of the Holy Quran:

Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah az-Zumar 39:53)

This hadith teaches us the importance of realizing Allahs mercy, having faith and hope in Him especially when making dua, calling to Allah alone for forgiveness, and the importance of repentance in the life and faith of a believer.

Allah catches the attention of mankind by calling out, O son of Adam! This is a call to every human being. Why didnt Allah say, O mankind or O People? The significance of this specific call is because it was the first human being, Adam (alaiyhis-salam) who committed the first sin. Adam was an example to all humans of the consequences of sin and how to turn to Allah for forgiveness of ones sins. This gives hope that even after committing a violation, ones sins can be forgiven if one repents to Allah sincerely the same way that the father of mankind sinned, repented, and was forgiven by Allah.

Allah calls out to His servants, a call of forgiveness, mercy, and compassion. For He knows that man was created weak and is prone to fall into sin. After calling out to mankind, Allah informs them that as long as they call on Him and put their hope in Him, He will forgive them and not mind. This statement alone can convince one to have hope and never to despair. When one calls out to Allah or makes dua, he is displaying his need and dependence of Allah. He is demonstrating his weakness to the fact that he has no power to do anything for himself. It is the essence of submission and servitude. It is also a recognition of Allahs attributes of kindness, generosity, forgiving and merciful nature, and His unlimited power and knowledge. Humans are never in a situation where they are not in need of Allah. A believer always turns to Allah to ask for guidance as well as to seek forgiveness of sins and shortcomings.

Allahs says, Call on me and I will respond to you. One of the most important conditions of making dua is that one must completely trust that Allah will respond. One must also supplicate with sincerity, hope, and seriousness. One must not have any doubt at all on whether Allah will respond to ones call or if He accepts the dua. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, Supplicate Allah while you are certain of a response. And know that Allah does not respond to a supplication from a heart that is heedless and inattentive. He also forbade that one say, Oh Allah, forgive me if You will. But he said, Instead, you should ask with will and conviction for there is nothing so great to Allah that He cannot grant it.

When supplicating, one should truly seek Allahs aid and His forgiveness and demonstrate his need for Allah and submit to Him with fear and hope in receiving the desired response. Allah advises in Surat al-Araaf 7:56:

And invoke Him in fear and aspiration (of hope). Indeed, the mercy of Allah is near to those who do good.

Another important condition of supplication is that one must not become hasty and impatient and stop supplicating because he did not receive a response sooner or at all. The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, You are responded to as long as you do not become hasty and say, I supplicated and it is not being or was not responded to.

And the final condition of ones dua being responded to is that one must make sure he is living off of halal and permissible means.

Allah says, Put your hope in Me. Man was not created sinful, but he was created weak. He is prone to fall into the temptations of sin and the whispers of Satan and when he does, he should always remember to turn to Allah, call upon Him, and ask for forgiveness with hope in His mercy. Allah stated in a Hadithi Qudsi, I am with My servant as He expects of Me. The meaning of this is that Allah treats His servants the way he expects Him to. If one has hope in Allah and trusts Him, Allah will act accordingly to that servants beliefs and faith. And if he does not have faith and is in despair of his Lords mercy, Allah will act accordingly. Not having hope in Allah and despairing of His mercy is a great sin and an act of kufr. Allah quotes Prophet Yaqoob (alaiyhis-salam) in the Quran:

Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allah except the disbelieving people. (Surah Yusuf 12:87)

One must be hopeful of Allahs mercy and forgiveness and fearful of His punishment. It is this fear that should lead one to seek Allahs forgiveness with hope. Allah says:

Know that Allah is severe in punishment and that Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Surat al-Maaidah 5:98)

In the above verse, Allah gives us reason to fear because His punishment is justly severe, as well as good reason to have hope, since He is the Most Forgiving and Merciful. There should be a balance between fear and hope and not too much or too less of one or the other. If there is too much fear, then a person may negate Allahs quality of mercy and ascribe to Him unkindness (Allah forbid!).
There was a sect called Khawaarij, who worshipped Allah only in fear and held the belief that anyone who commits major sins was a disbeliever and would be thrown into the Hellfire forever. This is a gross extremism and straying from the correct path.

Yet, another sect, which emerged within the first century of Islam, had no fear and believed that sins did not affect ones faith and that as long as one believed and testified in Islam, he would enter Paradise regardless of his actions. Both of these extremes lead to a dangerous consequence.

To understand the balance of fear and hope of Allah, let us look at the very first chapter of the Quran, Surat al-Fatiha. The first verse says, All praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. In this verse, love for Allah is expressed. We acknowledge that Allah is our Lord and the Lord of all the worlds. He is the Creator of all things; He sustains and nourishes everything; He gives life and death; anything good that we have is from Him; and everything is dependant on him and nothing can happen unless Allah wills it to happen.
In the second verse we express our hope in Him by stating, ar-Rahma-nir-Raheem. The meaning of which is: The Beneficent, the Merciful. When we mention these two names of Allah, then we have hope, since He is the One, who is full of mercy and we hope He will forgive out mistakes and shortcomings. We should never lose hope because there is no reason to.

And in the third ayah of Surat al-Fatiha, fear of Allah is expressed when we recite, Master (King) of the Day of Judgement. When we recite this verse, we remind ourselves of the Day that we will be standing in front of our Lord and be questioned for our deeds, a Most Awful Day. It will be a day in which not even the smallest action will be hidden. This reminder of the Day of Judgement should bring fear to our hearts.

Fear and hope, both should be equally proportioned in our hearts, in our worship, and in our dua to Allah. Allah says:

Call out to Him with fear and hope. (Surat al-Araaf 7:56)
They forsake their beds to call their Lord in fear and hope. (Surat as-Sajdah 32:16)

The Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, The like of these two qualities do not unite in the heart of a servant except that Allah gives him what he hopes for and protects him from what he feared.

In the Hadithi Qudsi that is being discussed in this paper, Allah says, O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and you would then seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. Here, we will discuss the importance of repentance and seeking forgiveness and its virtues.

First of all, we should never lose hope or stop asking for Allahs forgiveness. Its importance is shown to us in the following hadith of the Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam): O people! Turn to Allah in repentance and seek His forgiveness, for surely I make repentance a hundred times every day. Repentance is such a great act of worship that doing it can totally erase ones sins altogether, as the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alaiyhi wa sallam) said, One who repents from sins is like one without sin.

When a person sins and then sincerely turns to Allah for forgiveness, one will find Allah ready to accept his repentance and to forgive him, as this verse indicates:

And whoever does a wrong or wrongs himself, but then seeks forgiveness from Allah, he will find Allah forgiving and merciful. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:110)

Everyone commits sin and does wrong, but Allah is always willing to forgive and He always gives them a chance to repent and seek His forgiveness. A believer should never forget the fact that Allah is so forgiving. If Allah had willed, He could have held everyone accountable for his or her sins, but He has decreed that He shall allow His servants to seek His forgiveness and that He shall in fact forgive who and what He wills. In fact, Allah commands that His servants seek His forgiveness:

And seek Allahs forgiveness. Certainly, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
    (Surat al-Muzzammil 73:20)

Repentance is an act, which purifies the soul and brings the servant closer to His Lord. It puts the heart at rest from guilt. It protects one from falling prey to his desires and lusts and increases his faith.

Allah then says in the Hadithi Qudsi that is being discussed, O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring you forgiveness close to filling it. Look at how great Allahs mercy, compassion, and love is! The least Allah asks for is that one not ascribe any partners and gods with Him, for, He is alone in His Sovereignty. And after that if one commits sins and seeks sincere forgiveness, Allah will forgive him and shower His mercy upon him.

However, one is not forgiven if he seeks repentance from Allah at the time of death when he sees the angels or when the sun rises from the west at the approaching of the Day of Judgement. This is confirmed by the following verse:

And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says, Now I repent, nor of those who dies while they are disbelievers. For them, We have prepared a painful torment. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:18)

Allah also does not forgive one who commits shirk, which is the association of partners with Allah. Forgiveness will only come to those who die while adhering to tawheed and avoiding any form of shirk.

Verily, Allah does not forgive that partners should be set up with Him, but He forgives whatever is less than that for whomever He wills. And whoever sets up partners with Allah has indeed invented a tremendous sin. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:48)

Verily, Allah forgives not the setting up of partners with Him, but He forgives whom He pleases whatever is less than that. And whoever sets up partners with Allah has indeed strayed far away. (Surat an-Nisaa 4:116)

We must ask ourselves this question: Would we be willing to forgive anyone who hurts us and disobeys us constantly as easily as Allah is Able to forgive? Most probably, the answer would be no. But our Creator is the Most Kind and He is the Most Perfect.

Lo! Allah is a Lord of Kindness to mankind, but most of mankind give not thanks. (Surat al-Baqarah 2:143)

In this Hadithi Qudsi, mankind is encouraged to seek Allahs forgiveness and repent, but there are five conditions of repentance, which must be met for ones repentance to be accepted. The first and most important is that the act of repentance be sincerely for Allah alone. Secondly, the person must feel remorse and guilt over his actions so much so that he wished he had never done it in the first place. The third condition is that the person must immediately cease performing the wrong and sinful act. Fourthly, the repentant person must have a firm intention to never commit the sin again. And lastly, the person must repent before it is too late, meaning before death approaches.

Allah, Blessed and Exalted, finishes the Hadithi Qudsi with the following words, O son of Adam! If you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and you would then meet Me without ascribing any partners to Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it. Again, the mercy of Allah is clearly demonstrated by His Divine Words. However, there is a condition. One must not associate any partners with Allah, which is shirk. And Allah does not forgive shirk and if one dies without believing in Allah alone as ones Creator, then he will be doomed to the Hellfire for all of eternity. So, Allah emphasizes the importance of calling on Him alone. He has no and needs no partners, associates, wives, children, etc. There is no god, but Allah. None forgives sins except Him, so one seeking forgiveness should seek it only from Allah.

Will they not repent to Allah and ask His forgiveness? For Allah is the Forgiving, the Merciful. (Surat al-Maaidah 5:74)
And who can forgive sins except Allah? (Surah Ali Imran 3:135)

Allah praises the one who truly believes, has hope, and seeks the forgiveness of his Creator, as did his father, Adam:

Say: Shall I not inform you of things far better than those (things of this world)? For the pious, there are gardens with their Lord, wherein rivers flow. Therein (is their) eternal home and pure wives. And Allah will be pleased with them. And Allah is Seer of the slaves. Those who say, Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire. They are those who are patient, those who are true and obedient with sincere devotion in worship to Allah. Those who spend (in charity) and those who pray and beg for Allahs forgiveness in the last hours of the night. (Surah Ali Imran 3:15-17)

Allahs forgiveness and mercy is far greater and more vast than the sins of the creation. One must always have trust and hope in Allah in both good times and bad times and especially when seeking Allahs forgiveness. And the believer who calls out to his Lord for forgiveness demonstrates his true weakness and that he is totally dependent on the Creator. When one confesses his sins to Allah and sincerely repents with hope in Allahs mercy, the heart should come to peace and the soul should feel rest. When a person has hope, he has no reason to despair because it only leads to destruction. Allah gives hope to all, especially those who despair that there is no reason to despair because Allah is the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy. Allah praises those who repent and turn to Him:

And those who, when they commit a lewd act or wrong themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sinsand who forgives sins except Allah? And they do not persist in what (wrong) they were doing while they knew it. For such, the reward is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens with rivers flowing through, wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is the reward of the doers (of good)! (Surah Ali Imran 3:135-136)

    Backbitting about NON- Muslim

This is the answer to the sister/brother question. 'Can we as Muslim allowed to backbite about non-muslim and is there a sin in it?'

    Question:
Please inform us if the gheebah (backbiting) is the same for non-believers as it is for Muslims.

    Answer:

    Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly, it is not a Muslim characteristic to speak rudely. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The Muslim does not slander, curse, speak obscenely or speak rudely.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, who said, this is a ghareeb hasan hadeeth; it was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani).

Whoever does a thing a lot, it will become his habit, so the Muslim should keep away from all the ways that lead to evil, whether minor or major. Whoever drives his sheep near the enclosure of the king is bound to cross the line.

Secondly, if your question is referring to backbiting about a kaafir by mentioning his physical defects, such as his having a long nose or a big mouth, etc., then do not do this, because this is making fun of the creation of Allaah. If it means talking about his bad characteristics which he flaunts openly, such as zina and immorality, or drinking alcohol, and warning against him, there is nothing wrong with that. There follow some of the comments of the scholars on this topic:

Zakariya al-Ansaari said: “Backbiting about a kaafir is haraam if he is a dhimmi [a non-Muslim living under Islamic rule], because that puts them off from accepting the jizyah and it is going against the treaty of dhimmah (agreement between non-Muslim subjects and the Islamic state) and the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Whoever makes a snide comment to a dhimmi has earned Hell.’ (Narrated by Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh). It is permissible (to backbite about a kaafir) if he is a harbi (one who is at war with the Muslims), because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to command Hassaan to lampoon the mushrikeen.”

    (Asna al-Mutaalib ma’a Haashiyatihi, vol. 3, p. 116)

Ahmad ibn Hajar al-Haythami said in al-Zawaajir ‘an Iqtiraaf al-Kabaa’ir (vol. 2, p. 27): “Al-Ghazaali was asked about backbiting about a kaafir. He said: with regard to a Muslim, it is forbidden for three reasons: causing offence; criticizing the creation of Allaah, for Allaah is the Creator of the deeds of His slaves; and wasting time in something that is of no benefit. The first is haraam, the second is makrooh, and the third is not the best thing that one can do. With regard to the dhimmi, he is like the Muslim as far as not harming him is concerned, because the Lawgiver protects his honour, blood and property. It was said in al-Khaadim, the first view is correct.

Ibn Hibbaan narrated in his Saheeh that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said,
Whoever makes a snide comment to a Jew or a Christian deserves Hell.’ The meaning of making a snide comment is to make someone hear something that will cause offence to him. There is no stronger evidence than this, i.e., it is haraam. Al-Ghazaali said: with regard to the harbi, the former is not haraam, and the second and third are makrooh. With regard to one who commits bid’ah (innovation), if he is becomes a kaafir thereby, then he is like a harbi, otherwise he is like a Muslim, but speaking of him with regard to his bid’ah is not makrooh.

Ibn al-Mundhir said, concerning the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),
It is your mentioning about your brother that which he dislikes,” this indicates that in the case of one who is not your brother, such as a Jew or a Christian or a follower of any other religion, or one whose bid’ah has put him beyond the pale of Islam, there is no backbiting in his case.”

When things become unbearable, turn to Allah

When things become unbearable, turn to Allah

    Ibn al-Jawzi said:

"Something was causing me a great deal of grief and distress, and I started to think long and hard about how to get out of this situation by any means, but I could not find any way out. then I came across this verse:

'...And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out [of every difficulty].' (65:2)

I realised that Taqwa (Piety, fearing Allah) is the way out of every kind of grief and distress. As soon as I followed the path of taqwa, I found the way out."

I say: for the wise men, taqwa is the way that leads to everything good, for calamity happens only as a result of sin, and it can only be lifted through repentance. Sadness, grief and worry are punishments for sins that you have committed, by falling short in your prayers, or backbiting about a Muslimah, or taking the matter of hijab lightly, or committing a haram (forbidden) action. Whoever goes against the laws of Allah, the Almighty, has to pay the price for that shortcoming. The One Who created happiness is the Most Gracious Most Merciful, so how can you seek happiness from anyone other than Him? If people had control over happiness, there would be no deprived or grieving person left on earth."

    BackBitting

    Praise be to Allaah.

Gheebah (backbiting, gossip) means that a person mentions the faults of his Muslim brother in his absence, which he would not like if he heard about it, when there is no need to mention them.

When I say “mentions the faults of his brother”, this excludes cases when the other person says something to praise or commend him.

When I say “Muslim brother”, this excludes the kaafir, for there is no gheebah in the case of a kaafir.

When I say, “in his absence”, this excludes things said in his presence, which is not called gheebah according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions.

When I say, “which he would dislike if he heard about it”, this excludes things which he would not mind.

When I say, “when there is no need to mention them”, this excludes cases when there is a shar’i reason for doing that, such as warning against an innovator to make people aware of his bid’ah.

It is essential to pay attention to the following in such cases:

    1. Sincerity towards Allaah and seeking His pleasure.

    2. Paying attention to the interests being served by such things.

    3. What is said should be limited to the shortcomings in question and should not go further, to matters in which there is no benefit.

The scholars agreed that it is haraam to talk behind a person’s back for no legitimate purpose. Most of them stated that this is a major sin and that it varies in degree, some kinds being worse than others. The one who backbites about a scholar is not like one who backbites about an ignorant person. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“… neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful”

    [al-Hujuraat 49:12]

In Saheeh Muslim it is narrated from al-‘Alaa’ ibn ‘Abd al-Rahmaan from his father from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“Do you know what gheebah is?” They said, “Allaah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “That you say something about your brother that he dislikes.” He was asked, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “If what you say is true then you have gossiped about him, and if it is not true then you have slandered him.”

Abu Dawood narrated in his Sunan via Nawfal ibn Masaahiq from Sa’eed ibn Zayd that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The most prevalent kind of usury (riba) is going to lengths in talking unjustly against a Muslim’s honour.”

And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Your blood, your wealth and your honour are sacred among you, as sacred as this day of yours in this month of yours in this land of yours. Let those who are present convey it to those who are absent; perhaps he will convey it to one who has more understanding than he does.”

(Agreed upon, from the hadeeth of Abu Bakrah).

One of the worse types of gheebah and one which is most emphatically forbidden it to look down upon a Muslim and do one’s utmost to insult him, show disrespect towards him and cast aspersions upon his honour. This is a blameworthy characteristic and a serious malady; it is one of the major sins and the one who does this is subject to the warning and a severe punishment.

I want to remind myself before any of my brother and sister, We all fall in to the this sin but however some realise and repent while others think nothing of it and just brush it off their shoulders. May Allah save us from these Punishment and purify our hearts from all the dieses. Amin

    Hypocrites & Hypocrisy

Abdullah bin 'Amr (ra) said that Rasulullah said : "There are four traits; he who has all of them is a certain hypocrite and has one of them has some hypocrisy in him, until he gets rid of it : when he speaks, he lies; when he promises (something), he breaks it; when he quarrels he is abusive and commits excesses; and when he makes a contract, he breaks it."

    The Root of All Evil

    Lying
    ...

Lying, we all know this to be an Evil, and treat it as a Minor sin, but the fact of the matter is that this is the root of evil, from it we get deceit & corruption in our families and in our society.

at the core of Hypocrisy are Lies ... a Hypocrite will rarely admit that he/she lies, and even if he/she does will attempt to justify this Vile habit ...

    Rasulullah said ...

"You Must be Truthful, for Truth guides to Piety, and Piety guides to Paradise"

he emphasized the fact that to attain Taqwa, to enter Al-Jannah one has to be Truthful ...

in the same Hadith he also said the following ...

"Avoid Falsehood, for Falsehood leads to Immodesty, and Immodesty leads to Hell, and a person does not cease to speak Lies and be motivated by it, without being recorded with Allah (Ta'ala) as a Liar"

[Saheeh Al-Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi, Muwatta Imam Malik]

This Hadith and others make it very Clear that Lying is one of the chief means by which many will end up in Jahannam ...

May Allah Ta'ala save us from being among the Kazaabs/ the Kaziibeen, May Allah Tabarak wata'ala give the Tawfiq for all my brothers and sisters including myself to resist the temptation to lie, as this is not a minor matter but a very Serious one ...

    Riyaa- Hidden Evil

    Bismillah hir Rahmanir Rahim

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (ra), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say:

The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr. He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favours and he will recognize them. (The Almighty) will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I fought for you until I died a martyr. He will say: You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said (of you): He is courageous. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. (Another) will be a man who has studied (religious) knowledge and has taught it and who used to recite the Quran. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. (The Almighty) will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I studied (religious) knowledge and I taught it and I recited the Quran for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but study (religious) knowledge that it might be said (of you): He is learned. And you recited the Quran that it might be said (of you): He is a reciter. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire. (Another) will be a man whom Allah had made rich and to whom He had given all kinds of wealth. He will be brought and Allah will make known to his His favours and he will recognize them. (The Almighty) will say: And what did you do about them? He will say: I left no path (untrodden) in which You like money to be spent without spending in it for Your sake. He will say: You have lied - you did but do so that it might be said (of you): He is open-handed. And so it was said. Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

    (Sahih Muslim)

Subhanallah, if you think about it, this is one of the most profoundly frightening things. And this is a subtle matter. It is not so simple as just to utter the words “I intend to do this for the sake of Allah” and then suppose that everything is OK. Do you suppose that the mujahid in this hadith did not say this? Do you think that he was aware that his fighting for the sake of Allah (swt) was just for show? If he knew that, do you suppose for even one moment that he would have waged Jihad and sacrifice his life? Would the qari have spent all his years in pursuit of knowledge and teaching of it if he knew that it would be in vain? But instead we delude ourselves into thinking that we are sincerely for Allah (swt) whereas we are not. We convince ourselves utterly that we are sincere while this is not the case. So those who are afflicted with the disease of riyaa‘ are not even aware of that. And how can we be sure that are we safe from it? How can we be confident that we will not share the same fate as the people mentioned here? Even now as I am writing this, how do I do really know whether it is truly for the sake of Allah (swt) alone or for some other motive as well?

And this thing, riyaa‘, is what the Prophet (saw) feared the most for us. Out of all the evil traits and vices and sins out there, this is the one he (saw) singled out. So it is not a matter to be taken lightly. It is not something obvious or easy to spot, so we should guard carefully against it. Yet it seems some people are oblivious of this. They think that mere words are enough to ensure their safety from deception - deception of the devil and deception of the self.

    -
So you should do your deeds in secret and hate that people should know of it. You should hate to be seen by people and be known amongst them as a pious person. You should be fearful of their praise of your goodness. If you become exultant at that, or if you become despondent at their indifference, then you should be afraid for yourself.

A’udhu billahi mina shaytaani rajeem. A’udhu billahi min shururi nafsee. A’udhu billahi min riyaa’.

    Is covering Enough?

    Bismillah hir Rahmanir Rahim

In the Quran We are told to Cover up and to Lower our gaze.

    .

‘Tell the believing men and women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that is more purifying for them. Surely Allah is aware of what they do’ (An Nur 24:30)

However sometimes people misunderstand this verse, is it ok just to cover up yet still Interact with haram e.g interacting with the opposite gender, unrestrained Glances? We are told there are four poisons of the heart which are:

    Ø  Unnecessary talking

    Ø  Unrestrained Glances

    Ø  Too much eating

    Ø  Keeping bad company

But the one I shall be talking about is unrestrained Glances. The unrestrained Glances results in the one who looks becoming attracted to what he sees, and in the imprinting of an image of what he sees in his heart. This can result in several kinds of corruptions in the heart of the servant. The following are a umber of them:

It has been related that the prophet (saw) once said words to the effect: ‘The glance is a poisoned arrow of the shaytan, whoever lowers his glaze for Allah, he will bestow upon him a refreshing sweetness which he will find in his heart. On the day He meets him.’

Shaytan enters with the glance, for he travels with it faster than the wind blowing through an empty place. He makes what is seen appear more beautiful than it really is, and transforms it into an idol for the heart to worship. Then he promises it false rewards, light the fire of desires within it and fuels it with wood of forbidden actins, which the servant would not have committed had it not been for this distorted Image.

The distracts the heart and makes him forget what his original purpose was ‘covering for the sake of Allah’. It stands between it and them; and so the heart loses its straight path and falls in a pit of desire and ignorance. Allah, Mighty Glorious is he says:

‘And do not obey anyone whose heart we have made forgetful in remembering Us – who follows his own desire, and whose affair has exceeded all bounds’ (Al Kahf 18:28)

The unrestrained haze causes all three afflictions. It has been said that between the eye and the heart is an immediate connection, if the eye are corrupted, then the heart follows. It becomes like a rubbish heap where all the dirt and filth and rottenness collect. This is same as the tongue, and so there is no room for the love for Allah, relating all matters to Him, Awareness of being in his presence, and feeling joy at his proximity.

Letting the gaze run loose also makes the heart blind to distinguishing between truth and falsehood, between the sunnah and innovation while lowering it for Allah, The Mighty and Exalted, gives it penetrating, true and distinguishing insight.

We can also lead ourselves to another type of poison, poison of being a hypocrite, showing to people how modest we, while our hearts is full of corruption and dieses. Allah says in the Quran:

‘They think they deceive Allah and those who have Imaan. They deceive no one but them self, but they are not aware of it. (Al braqara 2:8)

‘……..Surely Allah is aware of what they do’ (An Nur 24:30)

However there are some who are aware and when they fall in to these type of sin we have mention, they feel guilty and remorse, so straight away they remember Allah Azwajal.

The messenger of Allah (saw) is reported to have said:

Allah has built two houses in the heart of man, in one of which an angel resides and in the other the shaytan. The angel urges him to do good work and the shaytan induces him to do evil works. When man remembers Allah, the shaytan withdraws. And when he stops remembering Allah, the shaytan perches on the heart of man and pecks with his beak to whisper in to do evil things.’

And so their remembrance and their love for Allah makes them pray and beg for his help and his forgiveness and have the intention to change, with every hurdles in our lives we must strive.

A righteous mane once said: ‘Whoever enriches his outward behaviour by following the sunnah, and makes his inward soul wealthy through contemplation, and averts his gaze away from looking at what is forbidden, and Avoids anything of a doubtful nature, and feels soley on what is halal – his inner sight will never falter.’

So Inshallah we must strive and change our intention for our souls so that maybe on the day of judgment Allah can be pleased at us because we have tried to have both outward and inward behaviour.

‘Tell the believing men and women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that is more purifying for them. Surely Allah is aware of what they do’ (An Nur 24:30)

    Dua of a believer

Allahumma Salli Ala Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa-Ala Ali Muhammadin Wa-Swahbihi Wa-Sallim

The dua can change our life, our outlook, and our fate. It is the most potent weapon of a believer.
Duaa is the weapon of a believer. It will protect you from the evils of enemies.
Dua is the shield of a believer. It will increase your sustenance.
Dua is more forceful than a sword. Dua replaces what has been destined and also creates that what has not been destined.
Dua is a form of ibaadat. Dua removes both the present suffering and that which will comedown later.
Dua and sufferings challenge each other until the Day of Judgment, and Dua comes out victorious.
Dua is so powerful that Dua has the power to create and alter fate!! Ask Allah for what you need so that He will give it to you. If you keep on knocking the door of Divine Mercy, sooner or later it will be opened for you.
Never get tired of Dua, Allah has attached much value to it.
    Allah says
"Let My servants know that I have the power to grant My servants' wishes."

A believer who makes Dua receives one of three things:
    1. Either he will quickly have his Dua answered,
    2. or he will get in the Hereafter,
    3. or something bad will be prevented from him equal to the value of his Dua.

Everything has a proper discipline to it, and so does Dua. Duas may not be answered when requirements of Dua have not been fulfilled. Praise Allah Almighty. Remember Him and thank Him for His blessings. Send greetings to the Holy Prophet (saw). Pray your Salaat regularly. Recite Qur'an regularly. Seek Tauba. Attain Taqwa. That is the right way for Dua.
It may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you. At such times, refer to He who knows the best, and that is Allah. Allah knows, while we do not know. So we must make Dua to Allah, then be patient, have faith in His unquestionable decision and trust His absolute wisdom.
Sometimes Allah delays answering the Dua to give a greater reward and a further blessing. Allah's delay is not Allah's denial. Allah's timing is perfect. What we need is Patience and trust.
It is impossible to sum up everything about Dua in this brief note. To summarize the whole concept of Dua into one single statement :
Dua is a form of Ibaadat, such a powerful Ibaadat that it can create and alter Qismat, and that Allah is generous and if His servant raises his hands towards Him, He feels reluctant not to accept it.

Once Prophet Muhammad (saw) passed by a people who were suffering from some affliction. "Why don't they make dua (pray ) to Allah for protection," he said. With all the suffering and disasters Muslims are facing in various parts of the world, the question can be directed to all of us today.
It is not that we have forgotten dua completely; we refer to it regularly. But, our ideas and practice regarding dua have become distorted. Often it is reduced to the level of a ritual. Generally it is considered when all our efforts have failed --- an act of last resort. It is belittled through actions and sometimes even with words. Is it any wonder that today mostly a mention of dua is meant to indicate the hopelessness of a situation.
What a tragedy, for dua is the most potent weapon of a believer. It can change fate, while no action of ours ever can. It is the essence of ibadah or worship. With it we can never fail; without it we can never succeed. In the proper scheme of things, dua should be the first and the last resort of the believer, with all his plans and actions coming in between.

Dua is conversation with Allah, out Creator, our Lord and Master, the All Knowing, the All Powerful. This act in itself is of extraordinary significance. It is the most uplifting, liberating, empowering, and transforming conversation a person can ever have. We turn to Him because we know that He alone can lift our sufferings and solve our problems. We feel relieved after describing our difficulties to our Creator. We feel empowered after having communicated with the All Mighty. We sense His mercy all around us after talking to the Most Merciful. We get a new commitment to follow His path for that is the only path for success. We feel blessed with each such commitment

In every difficulty our first action is dua, as is our last. We ask Allah to show us the way to handle that difficulty; we seek His help in following the path He shows to us; we seek His aid in making our efforts successful. When we fall sick, we know that we cannot find the right doctor without His Will; that the best doctor may not be able to diagnose our condition without His Command; that the best treatment plan will not succeed without His Permission. We make dua for all of these. We make dua before we seek medical help, while we are receiving it and after it has been delivered. The same is true of all other difficulties we may encounter.

Dua is the essence of ibadah. A person engaged in dua affirms his belief in Allah (swt) and shuns belief in all false gods. With each dua his belief in Allah grows. He beseeches Him, affirming his own powerlessness. A person seriously and sincerely engaged in dua understands exactly the relationship between himself and the Creator and affirms it through his actions. That is the essence of worship! Additionally, such a person can never become arrogant or proud, a logical result of true worship.

Dua is conversation with Allah ... It is the most uplifting, liberating, empowering, and transforming conversation a person can ever have.
Dua is our most potent weapon in all struggles of life as well as in jihad in the battlefield. During the battle of Badr, the Prophet stood up all night in prayer seeking Allah's help in the battle between unequal armies that would follow the next day. In the decisive battles against the crusaders, Sultan Salatuddin Ayyubi was busy day and night. His days were devoted to Jihad. His nights were spent making dua, crying, seeking Allah's help. This has been the practice of all true mujahideen. We should make it a point to make dua for all things big and small. It is the beginning of wisdom to realize that big and small are arbitrary labels that are totally irrelevant in this context. Nothing is too big for Whom we are asking from; nothing is to small for the one who is asking. That is why we have been taught to ask Allah when we need something as small as shoelaces. We should ask as a beggar, as a destitute person, for that is what we in reality are in relationship to Allah. At the same time we should ask with great hope and conviction that we shall be granted our prayers. We should remember the Hadith: "There is nothing more dear to Allah than a servant making dua to Him." On the other hand, a
prayer lacking concentration and conviction is no prayer at all.

We should make dua at all times, not only during times of distress. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:
"Whosoever desires that Allah answers his duas in unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua in days of ease and comfort." Also he said: "The person who does not ask from Allah, Allah becomes angry with him."

We should ask for all of our needs: those related to this world as well as those related to the Hereafter. Those who only concentrate on the former are, in effect, announcing that they don't care for their life in the permanent abode. They should blame no body but themselves for the total ruin in that world that Qur'an assures us awaits them. Those who only concentrate on the later are also showing lack of balance, for we need Allah's help to lead a good life here as well.

We should make dua not only for ourselves but also for our parents, brothers and sisters, spouses and children, relatives and friends, teachers and other benefactors, and destitute and struggling Muslims everywhere. We should pray for them for the good in this world as well as in the Hereafter. The Prophet (saw) said:
"The dua of a Muslim for his brother (in Islam) in his absence is readily accepted. An angel is appointed to his side. Whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother the appointed angel says, 'Aameen. And may you also be blessed with the same.'" [Sahih Muslim]

Dua can change our life, our outlook, and our fate. It is the mostpotent weapon. But it works only for those who try sincerely and seriously to use it.

    Watch yourself

On this journey we take, we meet so many people

People who have touched our hearts

Some who have hurt our souls

Life is nothing but a test

There are those who are willing to help us strive

And there are some who are willing to help us drown

The more we learn about this life, the more we know how to survive

Therefore you should always watch your back

Coz you don’t know who will always have your back

People change, but only those who fear God will always remain the same.

    TIME

    TIME. So precious
Every day, every hour, every minute, every second
    Tick tock tick tock

    Does man waste
Watching waste, speaking nonsense, occupied at their work.
    Thinking life is eternal
But how many time do we just STOP and think
The far stretched land, the galaxy beyond us, the bright stars glittering above us
NO. On that day we will be ask what we did with our TIME.
    Imaan, Action, Truth, Patience
Those will be saved on that DAY.

    1. By Time
    2. Truly man is at loss
    3. Except for those who have Imaan and do right Action
    4. And urge each other to the truth
    5. And urge each other to steadfast

    My Ummah, My Ummah

Muslim recorded from sayyidna Amr Ibn-ul-As that the holy prophet (saw) recited a verse concerning the prophet Ibrahim (aws)
"....So, One who follows me is surley mine, and the one who disobeys me, then you are the Most Forgiving, very Merciful." (14.36)
Then he recited a verse wich contains the words of sayyidna Isa (aws)
"If you punish them, then, they are your slaves" (5:118)
Then he raised his hands, he wept and prayed
"O Allah, my Ummah, My Ummah!"
Allah sent Jibra'il to inquire as to why he was weeping (while Allah knows the reason). Jibra'il came and inquired why he was weeping. The holy prophet (saw) replied:
    'I seek my Ummah forgivness.'
Allah sent Jilbra'il back to inform him that he has pardoned them, and that Allah would please him and would not deplease him regarding his Ummah.

The Prophet (saw) sworn that no servant truly believes until he (saw), is more dear to that servant than his own child, father, and all of mankind including himself.
